DJI released a major DJI FlightHub 2 update on 18 August 2026 that changes how teams plan, fly and interpret automated missions. Copilot can now build a flight route from a plain language description, O4 Ground Stations sit inside the platform as managed devices, and the Analyzer has grown from a model viewer into a genuine analysis tool. DJI grouped the release into five areas: device connectivity, intelligent planning, data analysis, automated execution and open integration. Read together, they point at one goal, which is a closed loop where an alarm triggers a flight, the flight produces media, the media produces an answer, and the answer reaches the right person without anyone stitching the steps together by hand.

Copilot Route Generation Explained
Copilot previously helped with analysis. It now generates flight routes from four different inputs. You can hand it annotated waypoints, draw a selection area on the map, specify individual points, or simply describe the job in natural language and let the system produce a route.
That last option is the headline. Describing a mission in words removes a large chunk of the manual waypoint work that makes route building slow, particularly for teams that plan dozens of similar inspections a week.
DJI has wrapped the feature in a mandatory safety review. Before any generated route executes, the operator has to confirm eight items, covering take off and landing locations, airspace restrictions, altitude obstacles, mission parameters, flight range and battery status, weather conditions and monitoring arrangements. The route is generated automatically, but the responsibility for approving it stays with a human.
O4 Ground Station Management Extends Your Coverage
The update brings DJI O4 Ground Stations under unified management inside the platform, which matters most in difficult terrain. Cockpit and the flight plan library can now select a nearby O4 Ground Station to carry the communication link, so signal quality stops being the limiting factor on how far a mission can reach.
Two related additions widen the picture further. FlightHub 2 can now ingest video from network cameras using the ONVIF and GB/T 28181 protocols, with gimbal control available from the platform, so fixed cameras and flying cameras appear side by side. Support for RID and ADS-B receivers also lets detected aircraft appear on the operational map, which gives teams a much better view of what else is in the air around them.
A Smarter Analyzer For Post Flight Data
Six new Analyzer capabilities turn collected media into findings. Intelligent search locates a specified target across large volumes of media. Defect tagging links a defect spotted in a photo directly to its position on the 3D model. AI reports generate structured analysis automatically, 2D and 3D linkage maps media to spatial position in both directions, and target coordinate back calculation converts a target identified in an image into geographic coordinates.
DJI notes that back calculation supports up to ten targets per operation and that the results are for reference only. They do not replace professional surveying, and the platform's global elevation model can contain inaccuracies.
Workflow Canvas Replaces Separate Automation Systems
Triggered missions and scheduled missions used to live in separate systems. A single orchestration engine now handles both through a configurable workflow canvas, with five industry templates supplied as starting points.
The practical benefit is chaining. A workflow can run an inspection, collect data, push it through AI analysis and issue a notification as one traceable sequence. DJI Dock 2 integration gains configurable dispatch delays down to zero seconds, along with multimodal recognition, alert export and false alarm tagging.
Open Integration And Streaming Improvements
Several changes make the platform easier to live with day to day. RTMP support allows consumer drones and handheld devices to stream into the platform, billed separately from the enterprise device quota. Live stream sharing 2.0 carries video from multiple devices on a single link and remembers the layout.
Flight logs now play back alongside payload video with position and timestamp aligned precisely, which is a significant improvement for incident review and training. True altitude recording adds height above ground level thresholds with automatic alerts, calculated from the platform's elevation model rather than from real time obstacle sensing.
