    DESCRIPTION

The TrueView 660 LiDAR Payload Sensor is a high-performance 3D imaging system designed for professional aerial and mobile mapping, combining a RIEGL miniVUX-3UAV scanner with triple mapping cameras for exceptional point density, vegetation penetration and reliable wire detection.

Built with three Sony IMX-183 RGB sensors delivering up to 60MP imagery per payload, and upgradeable to Sony RX1R2 or Sony a7R cameras, the TrueView 660 delivers outstanding accuracy and visual detail for demanding survey projects. Powered by the Applanix APX-20 positioning system and a selectable pulse rate of up to 300 kHz, it achieves precision down to 10 mm and typical 3 cm RMSE accuracy, making it ideal for rail inspection, utility mapping and road design.

NDAA-compliant and lightweight at just 2.6 to 2.8 kg, this third-generation GeoCue system supports both drone and optional mobile mapping for maximum operational flexibility. Supplied with 12 months of LP360 Cloud access and one year of hardware and software support, the TrueView 660 is a reliable, future-ready solution for high-accuracy LiDAR data collection.

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Where is the system designed and manufactured?
TrueView 3D imaging Sensors are designed and manufactured in our Huntsville, Alabama, USA facilities.

What is the advantage of the 3D Imaging Sensor compared to a standard LiDAR system?
Data from a standard LIDAR system can be used to generate a 3D monochromatic point cloud. Attributes of the point cloud typically include: • X, Y, Z position in an exploitation spatial reference system (SRS) • High resolution GPS time of pulse • Intensity of the laser return • Return number (if your LIDAR is multiple return capable) • Scan angle (angle of the beam relative to nadir when this point was detected) • Flight line (swath) ID

What derived products can be produced by LP360 software?
Derived products are what the name implies – analytic data derived from the base TrueView 660 products. These are generated using workflows and tools within LP360 Drone. Examples of derived products include: • Classified ground model – 3D LIDAR points that represent bare earth. These are generated using both automatic and manual editing tools in LP360 Drone • Automatically derived planar surfaces such as building roof prints • Topographic contours • Automatic and manual digitised stockpile boundaries ('toes') • Volumetric analysis such as stockpile volumes and cut/fill computations • Profiles and cross sections • Automatic rail extraction tools (classified rail points, vectorised centre line) • Automatic power line extraction tools (classified wire points, vectorised catenaries) • Gridded elevation models derived from ground points and first surface points In addition to the above, LP360 Drone supports feature-constrained ('breakline enforced') modelling. This allows creation of surface data that is constrained by features such as water body boundaries, edge of pavement, downstream flow, retaining walls and so forth.
