    As drone teams grow, someone needs to lead them safely and consistently. The TQUK Level 5 Award for Commercial Drone Chief Pilots (RQF) gives you the knowledge and recognition to take on that role.

    What is the Level 5 drone chief pilot qualification?

    It's a nationally recognised qualification, regulated by Ofqual and awarded by TQUK (qualification number 603/3890/8). It's designed for people who supervise commercial drone pilots, with a strong focus on safety and risk management across sectors such as inspection, surveying, photography and engineering.

    The course is split into three modules:

    Entry requirements

    The recommended minimum age for this qualification is 18 years.

    • Learners must hold an appropriate Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) recognised Remote Pilot qualification, such as a GVC, RPC-L1, RPC-L2 or RPC-L3, or have experience working under a CAA Operational Authorisation, or hold a TQUK Level 4 Award for Commercial Drone Pilots (RQF) qualification.
