Course Structure:
- Theory Training: The course covers essential topics, including air law, airspace operating principles, airmanship, aviation safety, human performance limitations, navigation, meteorology, aircraft knowledge, and operating procedures. This prepares candidates for a 40-question multiple-choice exam, with a required pass mark of 75%.
- Operations Manual: Participants receive a template and expert assistance to develop an operations manual, detailing procedures and guidelines for safe and efficient drone operations.
- Flight Assessment: A practical flight test is conducted at one of Coptrz's six UK locations, assessing the candidate's ability to safely operate a drone in various scenarios. It is recommended to have at least 10 hours of flight experience prior to the assessment.
Course Delivery:
- Online Course: Self-paced learning through an online platform, allowing participants to complete modules at their convenience. After passing the online theory exam, the practical flight test is scheduled at a preferred location.
